What data we process

When you fill in a form on our website or email us, we only process the information you choose to share:

• Identity: first and last name
• Contact details: email address, phone number, country and sample shipping address
• Company: the name of your company
• Request details: products and models you are interested in, quantity and estimated annual usage, meeting date and time, your message
• Technical details: the page and language from which the form was sent

Why we process your data

• To answer your quote, sample and information requests
• To notify you when samples are ready, if you joined the sample list
• To establish and maintain a business relationship with you
• To comply with our legal obligations

Legal basis

We process your data because it is directly related to entering into a contract (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), to comply with legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)), and on the basis of our legitimate interests, provided they do not override your rights (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who we share your data with

Information you send through our forms is stored on the server that hosts our website and is only visible in an administration panel accessible to authorised employees. It is also delivered by email through our own corporate mail service, and may be sent as a notification to our staff’s corporate WhatsApp number. Your data may also be shared with our email and hosting providers and, where required, with competent public authorities. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Third-party services

• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google.
• The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps.
• The contact form prepares your message in your own email app; we receive nothing unless you send it.

Cookies and browser storage

Our website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Only your birdsong on/off preference is kept in your browser’s local storage; it is never sent to us and you can delete it in your browser settings.

To understand how the site is used, we keep anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics: the page viewed, language, device type (phone/tablet/computer) and, if any, the name of the site that referred you. Your IP address is not stored; to tell visits apart within a single day, a one-way code valid only for that day is created and changes the next day. This information cannot identify you.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the retention periods required by law; after that it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may ask whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties it is transferred to in Türkiye or abroad, request correction, deletion or destruction and the notification of these to third parties, object to results against you arising solely from automated processing, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. Under the GDPR you also have the rights to data portability, to restriction of processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
