Today, ready meals are mostly sold in aluminium or plastic trays; aluminium can leave a metallic taste in food, while plastic can’t go in the oven. Erkap replaces both with a single, pure paper body.

The secret lives in the rim. An inward, reverse edge-curve runs around the top of the tray, formed as a single piece with the body — so a flat laminated cardboard lid simply locks into place. No machine needed. No plastic lid. Just paper.

What is the Erkap Food Container?
The Erkap Food Container is a patented paper tray for ready meals. Its flat cardboard lid locks into an integral reverse edge curve, and it replaces aluminium and plastic trays.
Does the lid need heat sealing or a machine?
No. The lid seats into the edge curve and locks itself; no heat sealing, special equipment or plastic clips are needed. Lift the curves with your fingers and the lid comes off in one move.
Can it be used in the oven, microwave and freezer?
Yes. The Erkap Food Container is oven, microwave and freezer safe, with zero taste transfer to the food.
What sizes are available?
Three standard sizes: EFC-01 350 ml (600 per carton), EFC-02 500 ml (600 per carton) and EFC-03 1000 ml (400 per carton). Custom sizes can be produced on request.
Can it replace aluminium food trays?
Yes. Like aluminium trays it goes in the oven and the freezer; it is also microwave-safe and leaves no metallic taste. It is made of recyclable paper.
Can it be printed with our brand?
Yes. Every surface of the tray and lid can be printed with your own colours, logo and design.
